About Marthasville, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Forty-five minutes west of St. Louis you will find the town of Marthasville. It is located in Warren County, Missouri on the edge of the St. Louis Metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1817 by a gentleman named Dr. John Young. Dr. Young named the town after his wife, Martha Fuqua. Today the town has close to 1,200 residents who call this place home.
This town may be small in size but it is big on history. Daniel Boone and his family lived here in Marthasville and both Daniel and his wife Jessica were buried here at the Cemetery of Bryans and Boones. The Louis and Clark expedition came through 1804 and again in 1806. A large German population that began settling here in the 1800’s attracted to the areas rich agricultural soil. They brought with them wine making skills and made significant contributions to the award winning wine industry that exists here today.
While in Marthasville, you may want to visit one of the local hot spots. The KATY State Park is a must see for outdoor enthusiasts off all ages. The trail has a total of 237 miles and is open to hiking, walking, running, biking and horseback riding through the countryside of Missouri’s beautiful wine country. You may also want to visit the Missouri Weintrasse on highway 94. The Augusta, Balducci, Montelle and Sugarcreek wineries are exceptional and make for a relaxing way to spend time in Marthasville.
Marthasville is in the continental climate zone and brings changing temperatures with the changing of seasons. The sunny summer months make for beautiful afternoons strolling through the areas local vineyards. Temperatures during this time can reach above 90 for forty plus days.
